Every Friday I send out a real love letter that I’ve transcribed from a stack I bought at the flea market (until they run out — and we’re getting close). Missed one? Check the chronological list.

Dearest Kay,
I wrote a letter last night but left it in my Psych notebook, which I didn’t bring with me today. I will mail it tonight. This one will have to be short so that I can do some work today.
I definitely will come Friday morning and take my chances with my “friends” the deans. I’m looking forward to next weekend like nothing I’ve looked forward to before.
We had snow here. Wonderful but wet snow. Last night we had snow turning to freezing rain and we’ve had light now all morning. The weather has also gotten somewhat colder and much more snow is expected. We may have a white Christmas yet. Christmas isn’t quite complete without it. And Christmas wouldn’t be at all complete without you, Darling.
But now I must be going. I must be extra good since I’m taking the day off Friday. Until you hear from me again, sweetheart, sweet dreams, sleep tight and take extra good care of yourself.
Love ad infinitum,
Tiger
This is the penultimate letter. And the next one really is the ultimate. It is like he knew he was writing a big finale! It’s coming early in 2024.
Anyway, with this last quick note, Russ goes and visits Karen and transfers back to U of I in the winter of 1962. And they no longer need to write because they’re together.
I want to thank everyone for reading along and going on this adventure with me! I’ll be debuting something very special on Fridays in 2024, and I hope you’ll enjoy the entirely unique View-Master-focused content.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

I don't want it to end!!😭😭😄
I love these letters! I can’t wait to see what’s next.
